Frequently Asked Questions

What if I don’t report a bind?

No worries! Self-reporting is not required to receive an eligible Bind Season payout.

Final qualifying binds and incentive payouts will be confirmed using carrier commission statements received from our carrier partners.

Because carriers typically provide commission details monthly for policies bound during the previous month, self-reporting simply helps us give you a more up-to-date view of your Bind Season progress while we wait for official carrier reporting.

What if I accidentally report the same bind twice?

No flag on the play! Your final Bind Season results are confirmed against carrier commission statements, so a duplicate self-report will not affect your final payout.

It may, however, temporarily make your reported progress appear higher than it actually is.

Which binds should I self-report?

Report eligible policies bound during the Bind Season campaign period that were placed through either:

  • A Market Access Appointment (sub-appointment), or

  • The Placement Desk

You do not need to report policies placed through your agency’s own direct carrier appointments.

Why do I need to self-report my binds?

There can be a delay between when you bind a policy and when that policy appears on the carrier commission statements we receive.

Self-reporting gives us earlier visibility into your activity so we can provide a more current estimate of your progress toward your next Bind Season tier.

Does self-reporting guarantee that a bind qualifies?

No. Self-reported binds are used to help track your progress during Bind Season. Final eligibility and payouts are determined using carrier commission statements and the official Bind Season Terms & Conditions.

What if the progress shown doesn’t match what I’ve reported?

Don’t panic! Your progress may include a combination of self-reported binds and binds already received through carrier reporting, and carrier data can arrive on a delay.

Your displayed progress should be considered an estimate during the campaign. Final results will be reconciled against carrier commission statements before payouts are issued.

Which premium amount should I enter?

Enter the total bound written premium for the policy — not your commission amount.

What date should I use for “Date Bound”?

Enter the date the policy was officially bound with the carrier, using MM/DD/YYYY format (for example, 10/15/2026).

This may be different from the policy’s effective date, which you’ll enter separately.

When will I receive my Bind Season payout?

Bind Season incentive payments will be issued within 60 days after the incentive period closes.

Your payout will appear as a separate line item on your commission statement, making it easy to identify your Bind Season earnings.

What if my self-reported progress shows I reached a tier, but carrier reporting doesn’t include one of my qualifying policies?

We’ve got you covered. Carrier reporting is used to confirm qualifying binds and final incentive payouts, but we know there may be instances when a policy doesn’t appear as expected.

If a qualifying policy is missing from carrier reporting at the end of the incentive period, simply send us a copy of the policy declarations page and supporting bind details. Our team will use that information to verify the bind with the carrier before finalizing your payout.
