The ACORD upload feature is a product enhancement that allows the Terminal to take data that already exists in another format and prefill applications in the Bold Penguin Terminal.

This eliminates the need to rekey information, saves you and your customers time, and improves your overall quoting experience.

You can use the ACORD upload feature by locating the ‘Upload Document’ button from the dropdown next to ‘Create Application’. You will then be able to browse for an ACORD form on your computer and upload it. The Terminal will extract and analyze the ACORD form for values to prefill into an application in Terminal.

You don’t have to sign up - this feature will be turned on and available for all users.

How many ACORD data fields can be captured and prefilled?

The ACORD upload feature can capture 15+ data fields. The availability of these fields in an application depends on the specific ACORD form that is uploaded and how much information it contains. Some ACORD forms perform better due to having more customer data that corresponds to our base question set. We’ve found that the ACORD 125 form is the most comprehensive for capturing and prefilling data into an application.

Do I need to do anything "techy" to use this?

No! All you need to do is upload an ACORD form PDF to start an application.

Do I need to use a specific browser?

No! This works inside whatever browser you normally use to access the Bold Penguin Terminal.

Can I use a hand-written ACORD Form?

Yes, you can use a hand-written ACORD form, but you’ll have the best results with an ACORD form that has typed data.

If I upload multiple ACORD forms at once, will it get data from all of them?

No. The ACORD upload feature analyzes and extracts data from a single document.

Can I upload other types of documents apart from ACORD forms?

No. This feature is specific to ACORD forms.

How do I know which fields are imported from the ACORD form into Terminal?

Any fields that were prefilled using your ACORD form data are marked in the application with the label ‘Prefilled by document upload’ under the form field.

Why do I still need to fill out information in the Bold Penguin Terminal?

The ACORD Upload feature enables you to send multiple fields from your form and prefill them in a Terminal application. There are additional questions carriers ask that still need to be answered in the Terminal to finish your application.

Can I send data back to my ACORD form at the end of the application process?

We have an ACORD download feature that allows you to download a variety of ACORD forms at the end of the application process.
