Carrier BOR Processes

Attune

Attune is currently on a BOR transfer hold.

Requests to move policies will not be honored at this time unless contractually obligated to do so. If this is the case, the agent must complete the Agent of Record (BOR Form) - Attune and send it to help@attuneinsurance.com

biBerk

biBerk does NOT permit BORs. Policies must be cancelled and rewritten at renewal.

CNA

BOR requests must be completed on the Insured's letterhead and signed by the Insured. (Include Policy Number, Business Name, etc.)

Coterie

If an agency is looking to BOR a policy from another wholesaler to their Bold Penguin code, agents must contact their current wholesaler to initiate the transfer, as BOR requirements may vary by wholesale partnership.

If an agency is looking to BOR a policy away from Bold Penguin to another wholesaler, please contact your Customer Success Manager or our support team at support@boldpenguin.com. Bold Penguin will submit written consent to Coterie authorizing the release of the policy. Please also review Ownership of Sub-Appointed Expirations (Section 7) within the Producer Agreement, as fees may apply.

Hiscox

Important:

  • BOR requests must be submitted within 7 days of the renewal effective date.

  • The current agent/broker will continue receiving policy emails until the change is fully processed

  • BOR changes don’t fully process until the renewal effective date

Submission Instructions:
To move policies to a Bold Penguin subcode, please email a policy list to Matt Stanford at matt.stanford@hiscox.com.

The policy list must be an excel file and include the following columns:

  • Wholesaler/Partner: Bold Penguin

  • Agent First Name

  • Agent Last Name

  • Agency Name

  • Agent Email

  • Agent Phone Number

  • Policy number

  • Insured's Name

Markel

The agent needs to complete the Agent of Record (BOR Form) - Markel and send to SPBORS@markel.com.

Markel will honor a 7-day rescission period for the incumbent agent.

BOR requests must be submitted to the THREE team (partners@threeinsurance.com) at least 30 days prior to renewal.

Westfield

BORs are not permitted.
