Principal (admin) users can view current commission rates for sub-appointed (Market Access) carriers directly in the Bold Penguin Terminal by navigating to https://terminal.boldpenguin.com/commissions.
Please note that only users with the Principal profile have access to the Bold Penguin Terminal Commissions Table.
This link is found by selecting the dropdown menu in the upper left corner of your Home screen and clicking Commissions:
Bold Penguin is only involved in commissions that are earned from policies bound through sub-appointments and the placement desk. If you have a direct appointment with a carrier, then you will earn commissions on policies bound with that carrier as you normally would.
Carrier Appetites and Premium Rates
Carrier appetites and premium rates in the Bold Penguin Terminal may differ from those available through other platforms. To determine carrier appetites for specific risks, use the Appetite Search tool:
Open the Bold Penguin Terminal.
Navigate to the Menu and select Appetite Search.
Enter the business details, including:
What the business does
The type of coverage needed
The operating state
Review the results to see which carriers have an appetite for the specified risk. This tool allows you to identify carrier preferences for various commercial risks efficiently.
Role-Specific Access Considerations
Access to certain features, such as the Commissions Table, is restricted based on user roles. Ensure you have the appropriate permissions or contact your administrator if you encounter access issues.
